Eye Doctors in Portsmouth, NH

The team of eye doctors and ophthalmologists at Clear Advantage Vision Correction Center serves the Portsmouth and surrounding New Hampshire and Tri-State New England areas. We provide an extensive range of eye care and vision correction services. Some of these services include:

LASIK

LASIK / laser vision correction can reduce or eliminate your dependency on glasses and contacts and, custom LASIK treatments can also correct refractive errors such as glare and halos. LASIK can correct most forms of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. LASIK is not suitable for everyone; however, take our LASIK self-test today to find out if LASIK is right for you!

Bladeless LASIK

Clear Advantage Vision Correction Center was the first center in Northern New England to offer a bladeless, “all-laser” LASIK procedure. Bladeless LASIK is an excellent option for those who cannot undergo traditional LASIK procedures due to thin corneas or dry eyes. Clear Advantage Laser uses a femtosecond laser to expose the cornea for LASIK, Advanced LASIK, and Customized LASIK procedures. All laser treatments are considered safer than traditional microkeratome or bladed procedures.

PRK

PRK is an alternative procedure to LASIK that reshapes the cornea and corrects refractive errors. PRK is an excellent solution for those who don’t quite qualify for LASIK. The main difference between PRK and LASIK is that no flap of tissue is created before your cornea is reshaped with an excimer laser. PRK also utilized the same laser that’s used for LASIK and custom LASIK.

EVO ICL

EVO ICL is another excellent alternative for LASIK that can help those with nearsightedness with or without astigmatism. With over a million procedures already performed, the EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) works like a contact lens inside of the eye. It requires no maintenance and it can be safely removed, which is important when future surgery, such as cataract surgery, is required. Because of the nature of the procedure, the ideal candidate for the EVO ICL is generally between the ages of 25 to 45 with a stable prescription.

Keratoconus

Keratoconus is a cornea disorder that causes the cornea – the clear, dome-shaped surface of your eye – to thin and bulge into a cone shape. It can begin in patients during their adolescence and can worsen for the next 10-20 years. Rigid contact lenses and scleral contacts can slow early keratoconus, but often the progression is too rapid. Eyesight Ophthalmic Services offers Crosslinking procedures through Clear Advantage. Crosslinking is a permanent way to stop the progression of keratoconus.
